The band was honoured to take part in the Blackburn with Darwen Civic Parade in Blackburn this weekend, celebrating the appointment of the new Mayor. It was a privilege to perform as part of this special community occasion, including playing in the wonderful Blackburn Cathedral. We would like to thank everyone who came along to support the event and made it such a memorable day.

1ST SECTION CHAMPIONS Our last engagement of the year before a summer break was Red Admiral Contests March and Hymn Tune Contest in the beautiful village of Croston Our performances of Be Still and Know and Ravenswood found favour with the adjudicators and the band were awarded the Best 1st Section Band and placed 4th overall. This weekend saw the band leading the parade at Grimsargh Field Day The band enjoyed marching through the village and the atmosphere was buzzing as people flocked to watch the parade go by There truly is no better way to enjoy the Lancashire sunshine than with a few brass band marches - and maybe the odd pop tune thrown in too!
