What an incredible achievement for Blackburn & Darwen Band!
Following our fantastic 2nd place at the National Finals in York, we are delighted to have climbed an incredible 79 places in the world rankings, taking us to 68th in the world! 🌍🏆
This is a wonderful reflection of the hard work, commitment and determination of our players, Musical Director Daniel Thomas, and everyone who supports the band.
We are incredibly proud of this achievement — but there’s no time to sit back!
The band is now busy rehearsing for the Wychavon Festival of Brass, where we’ll be looking forward to taking to the stage once again and continuing what has been an amazing year for B&D.
From Darwen to the world stage — what a journey! 💙🎺
