Sunday’s North West Area Brass Band Championships  at the iconic Winter Gardens in Blackpool was a day to remember for the band. Our hard work paid off with an impressive 3rd place in a difficult field of 17 bands, qualification to the nationals and promotion to the championship section! The band has been putting in plenty of focused rehearsal time on their test piece, Variations on Les Webet , in preparation for the upcoming contest. It’s a challenging work, and the players have been working steadily to fine-tune the details and strengthen the overall performance. They’re now looking ahead to competing in the First Section North West Area in Blackpool this Sunday. We hope to see you there.
