A Resounding Success at North West Regional Contest

On Sunday the Band took to the stage at the North West Regional Contest held at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. Competing against 17 other talented bands, they showcased their musical prowess and dedication, ultimately securing an admirable 3rd place. It was a moment of pride and achievement for all involved.


Led by the skilled guidance of Musical Director Daniel Thomas, the band delivered a captivating performance that caught the attention of adjudicators Glyn Williams and Steve Sykes. Their meticulous attention to detail and heartfelt interpretation of the music left a lasting impression, earning praise from both judges.


With their fine performance of the test piece High Peak by Eric Ball, the band has earned the opportunity to compete in the National Finals in Cheltenham this coming September.


The Blackburn & Darwen Band's success at the North West Regional Contest is a testament to the power of perseverance, teamwork, and a shared love for music.
