Proud Performance at the Spring Festival

On Saturday, May 10, 2025, our band took to the stage at the historic Winter Gardens in Blackpool to compete in the Senior Trophy at the prestigious Spring Festival. The test piece for this year's competition was Fantasy for Brass Band by Malcolm Arnold.

Under the dedicated guidance of our Musical Director, we had worked tirelessly in the lead-up to the contest, refining every nuance of the challenging score. As we performed, we felt a deep connection to the music and to each other, delivering a rendition that left us beaming with pride as we exited the stage. Special mention must go to our fabulous soloists.

While our performance did not resonate with the adjudicators as we had hoped, we hold our heads high, knowing we gave our all. Competitions are as much about growth and experience as they are about rankings, and this event was a testament to our band's commitment and camaraderie.

Beyond the contest, the day was filled with memorable moments—reconnecting with fellow musicians, enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of Blackpool, and sharing in the collective passion that defines the brass band community.
