Whit Friday 2025: A Triumphant March for Our Band

The Whit Friday March Contests of 2025 were a resounding success for our band, marking a day of musical excellence and camaraderie. Competing across Tameside and Saddleworth, we achieved remarkable results, culminating in a 5th place overall finish and being crowned First Section Champions in Tameside.

Tameside Triumphs

Our journey began in Tameside, where we performed at ten different venues. Highlights included a 3rd place finish at Hyde Central, 4th at Hurst Village, and 5th at Dukinfield Tame Valley. We also secured 6th place at Denton and two 7th place finishes at Stalybridge Celtic FC and Broadoak. These consistent performances across multiple contests contributed significantly to our overall 5th place standing and earned us the title of First Section Champions in Tameside.

Saddleworth Success

After our performances in Tameside, we headed to Saddleworth to compete at Uppermill. Here, we achieved a commendable 7th place overall and secured 2nd place in the First Section category. This strong showing in Saddleworth further demonstrated our band's versatility and commitment to excellence.
