What a performance from our Junior Band tonight at King George's Hall and what a reaction from the audience. There was everything; some fantastic playing, some real quality sounds coming from all the cornets, some great bass playing with Jack delivering the required volume in Star Wars. A great solo from Alasdair, who calmly found the second page of his solo when he had a few bars rest! Great trombone, baritone, euphonium playing and an excellent trio of horns with a solid, dependable Olly on drums. The wild rover did the trick for getting the audience on our side and they gave us a standing ovation after it. The cheer at the end of our encore was amazing and so unexpected. Well done to every member of the band including all the adult players/helpers for making this such a successful evening. Thank you from one very happy conductor.
