B&D Welcomes Talented Young Cornet Player George!

Following the departure of Faye, Blackburn & Darwen Band are delighted to welcome George as our latest signing on 2nd Cornet!

Despite being just 16 years old, George is already an outstanding young musician. A pupil of renowned cornet player and tutor Iain Culross, he has already achieved his Grade 8 and is now working towards his LTCL diploma – a fantastic achievement at such a young age!

George has also enjoyed further success today at the Elland Slow Melody Contest, where he came 3rd in the Under-16 category. Huge congratulations, George!

We are thrilled to have such a talented young player joining the B&D family and look forward to seeing him develop further as part of the band.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Faye for her time with Blackburn & Darwen Band and wish her all the very best for the future.

A very warm welcome to B&D, George, and congratulations on your success! 🎺
