Christie Charity Christmas Concert

We were delighted to be invited to perform at Manchester Cathedral for this year’s Christmas concert in support of The Christie charity. It was a strong setting for a festive programme, and we appreciated the chance to take part.

The event also featured the amazing AKS School Choirs of Lytham and the Blackburn & Darwen Band, both of whom contributed excellent performances. The combination of brass and choral music worked well in the cathedral’s acoustic and gave the audience a varied evening.

Our principal cornet player, Darcie, performed stunningly in her solo “Away in a Manger”.

The concert helped raise funds for The Christie, and we were pleased to support the cause through our involvement. Thank you to the organisers for the invitation and to everyone who attended.

We now look forward to the rest of our Christmas engagements and wish everyone a peaceful festive season.
