Great result for the band

Sunday’s North West Area Brass Band Championships at the iconic Winter Gardens in Blackpool was a day to remember for the band. Our hard work paid off with an impressive 3rd place in a difficult field of 17 bands, qualification to the nationals and promotion to the championship section!

Congratulations to 2nd place Tyldesley and winners Haydock.

The day was also tinged with sadness as we said goodbye to principal cornet player Darcie moving on to the Fodens band. When Darcie joined our newly reformed junior band 10 years ago, who would have guessed she’d turn into the player she is today. We're so proud of her development and to have such a great result for her last contest in the band was the perfect send off!
