Superb Day out at Red Admiral

Yesterday, Blackburn & Darwen Band enjoyed a fantastic day at the superbly run Red Admiral Entertainment Contest, coming away with an excellent 2nd place finish. The event was organised with real professionalism and created a brilliant atmosphere for performers and audience alike.

On stage, the band delivered a vibrant and confident programme, showcasing the depth of talent across the sections. A particular highlight came from our new principal cornet, Darcie, who gave a sterling performance of the demanding solo Song from Milestone. Taking on such a tough feature number is no small task, and she rose to the challenge with style and musicality.

Under the inspiring leadership of our MD, Daniel, the band produced some superb playing, with energy, commitment and teamwork shining through in every piece.

Congratulations to all the prize winners, and a big thank you to the organisers for hosting such a smooth and enjoyable contest. We’re immensely proud of our showing and excited to build on this success in the contests to come.
