The band took part in the annual Butlins mineworkers contest in sunny Skegness last weekend. Playing the test piece Renaissance the band had an early draw playing 8th out of 24 bands from all over the country. The band directed by Tariq Ahmed played a commendable performance and were awarded 5th place.
