Years 4 & 5 had a real treat today at Avondale School when they recieved a visit from some members of Blackburn & Darwen Brass Band. The children have been offered the opportunity to learn to play a brass instrument free of charge and will attend a new exciting start up project. The children will attend their first rehearsal on the 2nd July. The band have been fortunate to purchase some new P cornets and trombones from a grant from CVS Blackburn.
