Whit Friday 2026

The band returned to the Saddleworth circuit this year and played to huge crowds at Lees and Springhead, Grotton, Uppermill, Scouthead and Austerlands, Lydgate and Greenfield contests.

It was great to see so many brass banding friends - from close to home and much further away - enjoying ‘the greatest free show on Earth’ on such a sunny evening!  

Thank you to all of the organisers and volunteers who make Whit Friday possible every year and well done to all bands who competed!

The results have been published over the weekend and we are thrilled to share that we were placed in the top 10 performances in several villages and were awarded several 1st section prizes!
